Emile Joseph Bauche & Marie Felicie Copet

1854–1942 · 1863–1943

Emile Joseph Bauche was born on 9 July 1854 at Lesse Redu, Belgium, to Amand Joseph Bauche and Marie Jeanne Clarinval. He died on 12 October 1942. [S2][S3]

Marie Felicie Copet was born at Lesse Redu in April 1863 (the database says the 8th, the original “Descendants” page the 18th), to Victor Joseph Copet and Eugenie Josephine Perpete. She died on 14 January 1943. [S2][S3]

They married on 1 June 1888. Their seven children were all born at Lesse Redu. The family came to Canada between 1905 and June 1909, and both parents are buried at Grande Clairière, Manitoba. [S2]

Marie Felicie’s surname connects the family to the Copet families of Redu who were among the first settlers of Grande Clairière and Bellegarde, and a family of seven indexed as “Banche” reached Quebec on the Mount Temple on 21 June 1909. Both are explained, with their evidence and its limits, on The First Settlers. [S8][S17]
