Louis Bauche was born on 6 July 1890 at Lesse Redu, Belgium, one of the seven children of Emile Joseph Bauche and Marie Felicie Copet. According to the family source he came to Canada in 1908. He married Louisa Mahin in 1915; they had five children. He died on 1966. [S2][S3]
Louisa Mahin belonged to the Mahin family, which came from Redu like the Bauches and settled at Bellegarde. She was probably the daughter of Léandre Mahin and Marie Alphonsine Copet, a relative of Marie Felicie (see The First Settlers). [S9][S13][S14]
